How Long Will The Camaro Be On The Market?
My dad had a 1982 Camaro which I loved dearly. Unfortunately he got it smooshed and I've been sad ever since. Now that I'm earning money and going through school I plan on getting a new car when I graduate. Obviously I want a Camaro but I was wondering if anyone had any idea on how long it would be on sale for. If it's for four years that would be great. Ty

It will be around as long as it sells. GM is making decisions based on the success of products, not arbitrary timelines, so the Camaro will be built for performance enthusiasts for the foreseeable future.

i doubt it will be limited @ all, they'll sell them until it's sales slow down to the point they need to revamp the design again.
Ford brought back the 'California Special' mustang in '07 and it was supposed to be a limited production car again, they are STILL making them for '09 (a lot of the original enthusiasts who bought them are pissed)

Based on the early demand for it and the sales of the Mustang and Challenger, it is abundantly clear that enthusiasts have come out of the woodworks to make this car a success. American muscle enthusiasts will buy it, and average car buyers will definitely see the Camaro as a stylish alternative to boring imports that boast too little and are seen too much.

Yeah I hope it's for a while... Seeing that I've now just decided to hold off on getting a V6 Camaro and getting something else, and then waiting a few years to get the SS...

One of the reasons I am getting 1st year SS is in case the CAFE junk ruins the HP of the car. I want the most I can get and it may be a collector item.

With GM burning thru 1 Billion a month, who really knows. The autoextermist.com believes if things keep going the same way, GM could be dead in a little over a year. Personally the government will never let that happen.

Hey, the first 4 generations were around for just over 35 years. With the new, modern direction they seem to be taking with the Camaro -- I expect another 35 years easily.

I'd imagine 5 years minimum
