Question Amp questions! New Camaro!

Hello all! As of today i have joined the Camaro club!
I just purchased a Victory Red 2011 v6 RS! Man oh man is this thing a beast.
I love the car and i'm super excited to start on this project.
Well i already have my amp and speakers waiting for me to use them.
But i'm a little confused on how to take on this project.

I already found the battery is in the trunk! This is already going to be nice not having to damage the firewall.

So here are my questions
1.How many feet should should i use from the amp to the battery. The wire is about 10 feet long so should i just round it up or cut it?

2. Does the head unit have a rca output already on it?
And if not can i just tap off the speakers in the trunk. I previously had to do this off my old car which was pretty easy.

And 3.
I heard there is something in the trunk for the already existing sub that i can tap into for the remote wire or the cigarette lighter ( which i don't want to do).

Or can i just route the remote wire to the back of the head unit like usual?
Anybody know which wire on the harness to use?
I know it's blue but some have silver/red/purple/black stripes on them.

Thanks for any help you could spare! And thanks again for letting me join the Camaro world!

I think your talking about installing an amp for subs? Follow this thread. I did it and it worked perfect.
