Paint Blistering

Has anyone experienced pain blistering on their front bumper? I thought it was a rock chip but after inspection it looks like it popped from the inside out.My car is a 2SS IOM

I'm afraid the dealer is going to say it's a rock chip. Too bad you didn't see it when you too delivery. But I'd still talk to the dealer to see what they'll do.

YES ... Mine was delivered with a BIG spot on the front bumper.... The dealer had the entire front bumper repainted for me.

Cell phone pictures?

Get a real camera and focus on the problem.

I've looked mine over with a fine tooth comb and I've only found one spot. It's on the roof and as soon as the BS gets time they are going to fix it. When I received the car I looked it over really good and found them so made note and dealer has agreed to fix it. Had one chip on the driver's door edge. The dealer knows it and it too will be fixed. Will keep an eye on the paint and keep everyone posted.

Mine came in with a spot on the passenger side where they completely missed it when the car was painted. My wife found it a couple of day's ago. It's about the size of a pen head and they put the clear coat over it.

Also, IOM and RY have a problem where the front and rear clips meets the metal. Check your car very carefully up near the turn signal where the clip come't to a point on the front and almost the same spot in the rear. All 4 corners on mine are starting to show the wear. I just hit 1400 miles so if you have more/less it may or may not be noticable yet.

I checked all the cars at the SoCal meet yesterday and the only ones that had the problem were IOM or RY. We didn't have a RJY or VR car show up so I don't know if it is common in those color's or not.

It is supposed to be caused by the clips being over tightened on those parts, but I don't see how that is possible if it isn't happening on all the colors.
