Hmmm,

Chris told me that's how you get in and out of the trunk...

Have done it with the Blazer, but not often. It is very hard on the transfer case...

I just had an email exchange with Tom (IPS mechanic working on my build) about whether I should go manual shift on the tranny instead of auto. It would be really fun to drive and a lot less wiring. He asked if I would prefer to go with a turbo 400 trans instead of the 4l80. I have no info on the turbo 400 trans. I need to do some research. If you guys know anything about this, I'd appreciate input.

I'm going to call Tom this week to talk about the options and why he's suggesting the turbo 400 trans instead of the 4l80. He might be more familiar with the 400 because he put it in another Corvette (Atomic Fusion).

Turbo 400...easy install, but no overdrive!
4l80e....harder install, but has overdrive!

My understanding is that the 4L80 is better for street driving (like you said, OD). But also, I think the 4L80 is stronger. I'll stick with the 4L80.

The big question is whether I should go with manual shift (mostly for the fun of it) or go with the controller for auto shift (for the speed of it).
