Yeah, I am getting anxious to watch the car go together. Things should start moving along now. All the parts are at IPS and ready to be put together.

Fingers crossed for you. Hope it goes together quick...

I would have gone black with an orange car but CGM would look great I bet. Mine is black and you barely notice the cage at all.

I'm hoping to get it back in early July, but that is optimistic.
It better be ready before the Fest or heads will roll...

I got an email response from IPS today. They have done nothing to my car since they got it back from having the cage painted. I must say, I am getting very discouraged. They really should have assembled the engine while the car was gone at the cage shop. They could have also put the rear end in the car before it went to have the cage installed.

I'm hoping for significant progress in the next week or two or I may have to have the car trailered to another shop for them to do the work.

If I ever build a big car again...someone shoot me in the head because I would deserve it.

Yeah, I know...

They have "closed" the shop for this week and next (no answering phones and locking the doors) so they can get caught up on some of the "big builds." But I guess I was hoping mine would be one of them!

I guess I'm just nervous that it won't be ready in time for the Fest in August which was the main reason for doing this project this year. I'd like to have it back in time to get to practice a few times before taking it to the Fest to race.

I want to have it by July 1 to take it to the Camaro Superfest in Michigan the first weekend in July.

I know how you feel but keep your head up. Once a shop like that gets rolling the progress really picks up. Seems like these shop like to have every single part before they start final assembly.

There is no excuse not to have your car by July, PERIOD. I would be really upset as I know what kind of money and time it takes as I have been there several times. You are exactly right that the motor and rear end should have been ready to go as soon as you car got back. I would call and demand that I get a definite yes or no that it will be completed or take it to another shop as I know IPS does awesome work but giving them 2 months to complete your car at this stage is insanity. "Patience Grasshopper" is the best advice I have for you T.

If this makes you feel any better, here is my car as it sat less than a week ago and here is where it is at as of Monday. Progress moves pretty quick from here
