Bulletin numbers for clicking noise

Does anyone have the bulletin numbers for the issues with the clicking noises in the A6? I know some said it was something with the tranny, others said it was something with the driveshaft, etc. I just need the bulletins so when I go to my dealer I can tell them what to look at rather than the old "uh, not sure what is wrong".

I also may have a bad rear main seal :-(

Im having issues as well with my A6 ... I'll post up when/if I find anything out. My cars brand new ... heard a couple clunks while shifting ... that's a rarity though, happened maybe four times ... typically drives well. I had a loss of power but that's because the dealer put in regular gas, it fixed itself with 93 octane. However what always occurs is a clunking about a second to 2 seconds after everytime i stop (in the rear, occasionally, but also rarely through the shifter)

I'll keep you posted ... also, any outside information or thoughts are welcome!!!!

The clunking when stopping sounds like a U-Joint issue, except as I recall these cars don't have U joints.

Mine is a tapping noise, sounds like it comes from the front passenger wheel, but you can feel it in the e-brake.

Nice - do you have the bulletin for the clicking noise from the front of the vehicle?

#PI0027: Rattle Noise Under Vehicle - May Be Engine RPM Related - (Feb 3, 2010)

Subject:Rattle Noise Under Vehicle - May Be Engine RPM Related

Models:2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS
Equipped with 6.2L V8 Engine
Please Refer to GMVIS

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern

Some customers may comment on a rattle noise from under the vehicle. This noise is mostly reported when the vehicle is cold and may go away completely when the engine is warm.
It is possible that the internal baffles may be loose in the mufflers on vehicles produced before September 15, 2009 or the resonators on vehicles built before December 1, 2009.
Recommendations/Instructions

To diagnose loose baffles in either component, use the following method.
  1.
Lift and suitably support the vehicle.
Locate the muffler at the rear of the vehicle. Muffler Rattle Diagnosis Tap Points

Using a rubber mallet, strike the exhaust pipes in the bend just ahead of the mufflers as shown. If loose baffles are present, you should hear them rattle when tapping with the rubber mallet. Replace the exhaust system to correct this condition. Important: You must only tap on the exhaust pipe at the positions shown. Tapping further away from the mufflers may cause other reverberations that do not indicate a need to replace components.

Locate the resonator at the mid-point of the vehicle. Resonator Rattle Diagnosis Rear Tap Points

Resonator Rattle Diagnosis Front Tap Points

Using a rubber mallet, strike the exhaust pipes both in front of the resonator and behind the resonator as shown. Important: You must only tap on the exhaust pipe at the positions shown. Tapping further away from the resonator may cause other reverberations that do not indicate a need to replace components.
  2. If loose baffles are present, you should hear them rattle when tapping with the rubber mallet. Replace the exhaust system to correct this condition.

Unfortunately this isn't the one - it is something with the driveshaft or transmission and comes from the front. I replaced my exhaust system and still have the symptoms.

Any luck finding out what the cause of the trouble has been.
I have the same thing, usually once everything is heated up.
I can feel it in the Shifter, but never thought of possible transfer through the e barake.
It is definately speed related NOT rpm related, every damm time I take it into the dealer I cannot get it to do it, go figure
Any advice would be great. Thanx for any help.
