Today was pretty fun. Lots of booths, cool cars, etc.

I'll be arriving about 0800 tomorrow if anyone else is going try to show at the same time so the Camaros can park together.

We'll be there to cheer you guys on. There is no doubt the Camaros had the Mustangs beat by a mile.... it really just came down to a coin flip of which Camaro would win today.


BTW- did you notice Camaro won vintage muscle AND modern muscle today.... no Mustang or Challenger !

Great start but obviously as you were getting into 2nd gear the car in front of you was TOOOOOO slow.

Thanks for taking the video, yea that was weak... good way to finish up the car season... still have the Super Chevy in AZ, but all done with car shows here..

Didn't end up going Sunday. What happened on the track?

They shut it down, still not sure why....some bull about not burning rubber on the track & that the racers were complaining....funny thing about that, they had the "drifters" on the track right after us !
Something about time constraints on Sunday, they were supposed to have 1st & 2nd place on Sunday, but only did 1st, Then they cut the winners to one lap on the track, (had 2 laps on Saturday & I got to hit it hard in my AMX !).
One of my Club members won best of show in his Red, White, & Blue AMX, so he wanted me to ride with him on his Victory lap. I told him to lay back so he could turn it loose by the grandstands, but the jerk in the pace car slowed down every time he tried to get a little distance, then he blocked the track & waved us off after one lap.....Glad I went Saturday !

I was also a Saturday winner / track runner. We had a great group that understood each of us was to hang back in the corners before the long straights so we could light them up (in front of the grandstands).

Teamwork!

My only regret is I didn't think ahead to have the lovely wife video the run.

Well it looks like the speed fest belongs to the big money racers and sponsors... Unfortunate for sure. Glad I stayed home on Sunday.

Eric, you had it setup we should have seen a big smokey burnout then!

true.... if I only had it to do over again.....
