GM made an executive decision a few years back that the gold bowtie would be the "official" logo for Chevrolet. Back in the 90's-2000's cars came with red, black and red, and blue bowties as well. They streamlined it to gold w/silver outline only. That is why you will never see a Chevrolet with any other colored bowtie than gold come from GM.

I get where you are coming from, but I think the standard headlights just look odd on the Camaro.
