Sorry to hear about your pain... Sounds like a nightmare. I will give you this, GM is absolutely horrible in the customer service department. They don't listen to you at all. Ford I hear is much better in this regard.

I love my Camaro but will really think twice of buying another one because of GM's customer service.

Good luck with your next purchase!

I agree...

I am sorry for your bad experience, but I think it was just a fluke with your poor, unfortunate car...:(

If you liked the Camaro, why not give another one a chance, unless it would bring back painful memories of the first one...

Good luck, whatever you choose...

+1 I have lived in So Cali over 50 years and drove a friggin VW Beetle in the past rain storms and not a problem. Driving style is everything. As for getting rid of a lemon... Every model of car has one or two that fall down and go boom under the lemon law. Sorry to hear about the experience but it is a Camaro and chances are you will own one again some day because they are and will remain an awesome car. Even if the manual trans sucks at the moment!

Glad it's all over, can fully understand not wanting to get the same vehicle.

Had bought a brand new 1988 Ford Bronco II XLT,I was in the Army and I had nothing but issues with that truck.

The last straw was when I couldn't go in reverse and it wouldn't go no faster than 20 mph, when taking back to the dealer.

Ford mechanics claimed a squirrel had crawled up into the gear box and that's what was causing the problem.

I loved that blue on dark blue two-tone but enough was enough.

Traded it in a couple months later on a Mazda 626.............

Sounds like a rough 18 months of ownership. I think if I went through it, I would never want another Chevy, let alone a another Camaro.

That said, I think your ability to get a Lemon ruling has as much to do about you as it does your Camaro. Most wouldn't have gone through all that. They would have sold it, or learned to live with the flaws as much as possible.

Your efforts were rewarded.

My view of Chevy is still awesome because my car is the anti-lemon (knock on wood).

Sorry for the question, but what's whit the "lemon law", and what happens to the vehicle in question? Is it brought back to the factory and repaired there?

you have to be joking right? dodge is the worst of the big 3

if your shopping a truck i would give ford the nod. i had a brand new f 150 in 2004 and it was a great truck just the 36 gallon tank was killing me driving 600 miles a week and the over 100.00 fill ups

Yeah if you like to replace your entire front suspension every time inspection rolls around and transmissions every 36,000miles then go for it.

Worst trucks we ever owned in our fleet. No more dodges for me thanks.

GM will re-sell the car to someone. The title will clearly state "lemon-law buyback" and the car will be sold without a warranty and as-is.
Someone in SoCal will be getting a SS for cheap thanks to the OP.
A lemon law is generally when a car can't be repaired for the same problem after three attempts by the dealer. Most states have such a law under "consumer affairs".

Damn sorry to hear about your problems. I have never had any issues with my 2LT/RS. Perhaps at some point if you truely love the camaro you will get back into one.

glad to hear it worked out for ya in the end. Now you have your $ back to get into something else. If you liked having a sporty car and you get into a truck, you will be happy and likely less stressed about it but you will ALWAYS have a nagging voice in the back of your head telling you should have bought another sporty car, especially when you see them driving around you. Just like giving up motorcyling......(for the riders, you know what I mean).

Since you don't want to get back into a Camaro, consider a 2011 Shelby GT500.
