Wasn't impressed with the Vararam

I have a 2011 1SS, and I just hit 100 miles after installing the Vararam CAI. I have to say I'm not really impressed...matter of fact it seems less powerful. I took off my MAF in the garage and on the back it has a "V". Is this an issue?

you'll probably have better luck with this in the engine, exhaust, bolt on forum, but i am curious to know the answer.

Yes, you have one of the "weak" meters.

Must be the weak MAF because my Vararam made a world of difference with engine response. My stock exhaust even has a different tone at wide open now.

Yep, you need to change that maf. That is strange that you have a 2011 SS and got a bad maf. I was under the impression that those single digit mafs were no longer being used.

Yep, contact Vararam, they sell the correct meters at cost. You have 2011 SS, I did not think GM was still using the single digit mafs.

Where can one get a new MAF? I understand you can buy them directly from Vararam?
How much are they roughly?

Weak Air Meter

Had to replace mine before install. Vararam quoted me a price of $89. Don't know if that includes shipping.

Try here. Patrick will beat that price.
