Nothing specific, just looking for a general update. Thanks!

Finally got my new amp and sub installed in my vert with the help of Steve at ******** and his great products. The X2/x3 harness installs perfectly along with the sub mounting plate. I installed a JL XD700/5 amp utilizing ********s retrofit BA mounting plate and original mounting site. Steve's helpful hint page on the new vert products gave some great advice as well.(And yes the "black box" does rattle)

I still need to tweek the sub a little to try to achieve the sound I want, but overall the system sound, volume, and bass is much improved.

Can you post a pic of the rear speaker, I have not yet seen a vert in person and would like to see how they did it in the side panels.

Thx

The rear side panels have a cheap 3 1/2" speaker. I put in 6 1/2" component speakers . In front and back sides.

nothing in the back of a vert will work in a coupe. Totally different. Below are some pics. 1st pic is stock side panel with the stock 3.5" speaker and the 2nd pic is an aftermarket. We want to offer two different options. The first option being a direct fit replacement like the ones shown. Those are infinty but we may have a couple brands to offer. The fit is perfect though. The second option is that we want to fab up some mounts to install larger speakers. I think 5.25" speakers will fit but there will be some cutting involved to make that work. So it just depends whether you want to take that leap or not. I'm also tyring to find a quick connect harness like we did with the front speakers since the 3.5" speaker has a different connector on it.

PS I'm also pretty close to showing off the first of our trunk sub boxes too.

There is a small plastic box that sits directly above the factory sub location. I believe this is for the covertible top controls. Some padding around this is needed to stop the typical vibrations noises from the sub. Not a big deal, but definitly helps. The "hints" are things that were tested out and tried by Steve at subthumb, and included in a post sales link. I'll let Subthumb decide if they want to make this available to everyone. I had 5.25 JL audio speakers installed in my rear panels, and yes there was some cutting; but the sound is much better. There are no install pics, as I had someone do the work for me, but here is the final look.

Looks good but I would prefer my speakers a little less obvious from a visual stand point.

Can that open hole above and slightly left of the speaker be used for mounting additional drivers?
