Use the fuse puller located in the fuse box.

Well I dont know. If you d's would answer a simpel question. Obviously I dont know how to do it if I posted a thread asking for help. I dont just go around pulling fuses all day to where this is common knowledge. And as I said before when I opened it up I tugged on it a bit and attempted to take it out but didnt want to break it off or anything. Thanks for nothing by the way, good job.

You said hardwire, might want to use a "fuse tap", easier...

Some automotive parts store carry them....

Everyone that wants to mod has to start somewhere. It is much better to ask a question about a simple procedure to make sure you do things right than to just try and fail while screwing stuff up on a simple procedure. There is no reason to bash anyone for not being a proficient a modder as you even if it is a simple thing. The whole point of sites such as these are to help people who have question and discuss the love of a similar product that we all have. No reason to be rude or snappy to someone who is starting to try out new things. There is always something that one person wont know and another will understand greatly just help out and the help may be returned on something completely different another time.

your radar detector going to be inside the cabin? I would just hardwire it to something inside the cabin. Use the fusebox located on your driver side, or just cut into the onstar wiring at the rear view mirror. Or something else...

Forget what the guys bashing you are saying... everyones gotta start somewhere, I ask dumb questions all the time LOL. Just recently asked how to change brake pads.. =/

I did not know of the fuse tap either. Cool little deal.

Ask as many questions as you like. Someone will help you with so many items here.

As I tell my kids in class, "ask questions for answers, and keep your lips zipped for failure."
