Power steering stiff spot

As odd as it sounds, the steering got stiff when turning right, I forced through it and it popped. I let the car cool down and worked the steering back and forth and the notch was pretty much gone. Went for a 4 mile drive and it was fine. I accelerated coming out of a turn and bam...stiff again. I just muscled through it. This is freaking ridiculous. We will check it on the rack in my friends shop later this week. Just finished a vortech blower install and this pops up. I don't see it being blower related at all, especially after reading around here. It's not from donuts. But, I did do a U-turn at full lock today and accellerate out of it. If that little bit did it in, then I should have bought something else.

Still not making sense, turns left fine. Right has resistance. Once you get past the resistance it turns like normal.

figured it out...steering shaft was catching split loom on positive cable (jumper cable). A few zipties and the problem is cured. It just took two people to figure it out. Someone to crank the wheel and someone to watch.

Interesting find. Sounds like something that should happen more often on other cars.
