Happy to say I took the car out of hibernation yesterday and took it for a nice long dry. Still no noise has returned

Noise Following RPM

I had a similar issue, although I have a 2LT RS. After approximately 200 miles a noticed a sound very similar to that of placing a playing card on bicycle spokes. The sound started at 13 mph and increased from there. It exactly followed engine RPM. I immediatlely called Onstar to see if they noticed any problems with the car (none). Several minutes later the sound went away.

After pulling over to the side of the road, I did notice some loose electrical tape on some wiring bundles close to the fans. Maybe some of this tape contacted the fan and came loose after several minutes of contact? Anyway, I haven't noticed it since.

So if you're experiencing any weird sounds coming from behind your glove box just take your car to the dealer and they should know what it is and order you the part.

Here's the description of what was done.

Checked and installed coolant restictor as e per TSB 09-01-37-001 for noise from heater area.

Parts
- 10188036 - valve as
- 12337820 - strap, I/
- 1470030 - clamp
I just spoke to Paramus Auto mall over the phone and they that TSB's are not covered under warranty?

If they know it is an issue, how can they charge the customer???

This forum is fantastic!! I have the same issue, ls3 2010 with a coffee maker type noise coming from the glove box... Called my dealer, gave the TSB number and popped right up and said bring it in and we will replace the parts!

Thanks so much everyone for information on this forum!

Gang, didnt flip through each page on here to see if anyone posted this yet, (sorry if they did but want to add two cents)

Search forum for heater core TSB or sort of valve replacment. while I was trolling around on here looking into my exhaust leak, found some interesting stuff about heater core valves being replaced making a gurgeling sound, fluid like sound... good luck gang
