Where are you getting your remote turn on from?

For those that put aftermarket subs in the car, where did you pull your remote wire from, and what color was it?

with the boston stereo it is a white wire at the factory amp....only problem is that it is on anytime the ignition is.....

the other option is to find something that has signal sensing, or an amp with signal sensing like I did!!

What are you calling a signal sensing? And what is the disadvantage of a amp being on when the ignition is??? Im hoping to be able to put in a 10 inch sub with a 300 watt amp myself.... just needing to know where to run the wires...

Signal like speaker inputs for where you get the RCA inputs? factory speakers will work with the appropriate adapter just like any other vehicle running factory head unit. as far as signal to turn on the amp, mine comes from the ignition. I dont see any problems with it being on whenever the ignition is. If you dont like that, the only other option is a toggle switch (cringe)

Just test a bunch of wires. It does not have to be a specific wire. Any +12v (minimum 5v, if i remember right) that is "hot" when the ignition is on will do.

I would do this - Turn on the radio (no key) and try to find a +12v wire. Once you do, turn the radio off and see if the wire goes cold. If it does, you have found a suitable wire. If you want the amp to only turn on when the keys are in, find one that is +12 with the key turned to acc, then take the key out and turn on the radio. If it is still showing 0, then you have found a wire that will only turn on the amp if the key is in.
