Well my sources tell me that the full ABL will be available in latter production camaros, and the reason for the delay was because supplier issues with quality. Now having that said, we should see ABL in its true form latter in the year when all the bugs have been fix. nonetheless the dealers should be able to apply the parts necessary once the the issues with the suppliers are resolved.

After the moldings get perfected, i would like to see more panel colors to be offered with ABL, and do it your self install.

Now that would be cool if it turns out that way, let's hope so.

When i was at the Fortlauderdale auto show i talked to a woman named linda. She worked fo GM and i asked her why they didnt keep the ABL in the dash etc. Now please dont go and start some bs angry thread about this!!!!!!!!!. She explained that it was not only a difficult thing to make work right because they would get different intensity of light on the dash compared to the door, but that it was just too much light. She said with the gauges, the tachometer, the doors all that light added up. With the dash she said it was alot and she felt that it might be a distraction when driving. I guess the engineers probably think about alot of the things that we dont, but as you know you can aftermarket, pimp your ride all you want. I personally will just leave it alone as i still think its cool to at least have abl in th doors.

I was doing my best trying to stay away from this thread, but I finally caved in. Yea it would be great if they got it right, but it's really no big deal. Chances are if they do end up putting it in the dash, they will have to change your door panels to because of the different intensities in the lighting if they want it to match properly. Even if cost on this is like $100 a car, GM will have to fork out $1,400,000 to do it for free on all the pre-orders. Doesn't really make much business sense, huh?
