To update my comments earlier in this thread...

I worked the amount of OT needed to get the $ my father offered. LOL

So with everything-

$5000 from Dad
$1000 from Mom
$1000 from GMCard
$8000-9000 of my own saved $

I should have at least $15,000-$16,000 to put down.

I have no idea if they'll give me enough to pay off my current vehicle in trade (owe about $6000 on the '05 Aveo LT Sedan w/27,000 miles) or if I could possibly sell it to a neighbor for just a little over what I owe. So that could affect things slightly.

If you bought an 02 SS , didnt drive it, stored it......0 miles on it....it actually is probably worth less now........no investmants in cars unless they are rare, rare custom, or extremely antique!! or unlesss the trunk is full of contraband....

I put down 12 grand already, getting back 4 grand from income tax, and have a TON of overtime coming up on the next few cheques, so hoping for around 20 grand.

............Or maybe stay with 12 grand down and blow the rest on mods............. hmmmmmm.... now I have some thinkin to do

I was doing a good job putting away bits of money monthly after the concept came out...then I went and got married and bought a new house...sooo, no more Camaro money But I sold my 2002 and have the GM card and some tax return cash, so I hope to use around 11 or 12K.
