That Challenger is one of the best automotive designs ever...lets give credit where credit is due, Dodge nailed that one.

If you like....big, plain body panels and awkward angles.... For a retro throwback, Dodge did good....imho -- it doesn't even compare to the Camaro...or even the new Mustang...

I'd tell you to get the Camaro, 92GTA. There really is nothing the SRT version has that sets it ahead.

In your opinion. In my opinion, they took the nice looking '70s model and made it ugly...

An R/T optioned how I want at invoice comes in at $31,379 but I just feel like I'd be missing something if I didn't get the SRT8. I think I'd get an SRT8 over a 2SS/RS but I'd take a 1SS/RS over an R/T.

I guess it's subjective, but these side by side pics "say" it all. The Chally is nice, but just looks plain next to the Camaro. Add to that the fact that Camaro is faster and cheaper, you have your answer. Plus, you'll have plenty saved for after-market add-ons.

I might give you that the interior of the Chally is less-retro/more sophisticated than the Camaro especially the center interface), but that's not one of your buying points, nor does it even come close to bringing the Chally up to the Camaro's level.

Totally agree, Have you(op) seen the challenger in person yet. Those door panels are huge, absolutely huge. In fact everything is huge on it. No good to me.

My advice: wait until you've test drive both. And I'd rather go with the R/T and put on some mods.

Well I did drive and auto R/T and I agree, it's huge. It looks like a freaking truck the way it's jacked up!

The SRT8 makes up for allot of this though, it seems to sit a full inch lower.

The more I think about it I might very well go with an R/T. Even less than a Camaro and I can still go with my first instinct, which was the Challenger. I can always add an SRT8 or otherwise spoiler and have some fun with mods.

and looks are based on personal preference and the op seems to like the challenger look more (rightfully so) so i would go with the challenger, the similarities in performance are so close that it shouldnt sway u either way unless you liked both of them (lookwise) equally,

this is a clear choice ...challenger FOR THE WIN!!

If your looking for a great looking car with good performance, you've made the right choice. I was actually surprised by how small the challenger looked in person compared to pics.

BUT, if the price were similar (within a couple hundred $$), even though the Challenger is the better looking car, I would go with the Camaro.

Just get a Camaro now...make your NEXT car a Chally if you wish...cause you know, by then, Camaro probably will have paved the way and raised the bar on standards - And you'll get a Chally without the cons we're speaking of today.
