summer months out there are very hot, it's harder on the equiptment and tires. the end of nov would be good if it were the thanksgiving weekend, most people would have a 4 day weekend. temps that weekend should be in the 70's which would be ideal.

Just some info off website @ Button Willow. Besides the $4900 trackrental there is also a $ 5,000,000 liability policy needed to be bought for the day. Will check on costs for that.

The cart track is only $1000/day, but we need to find out if Camaro's would fit on it. They have another option we might want to consider.

Taught on Buttonwillow's Challenging Race Track, Not in a Classroom

Our instructors will take you through a short ground school session focusing on safety & performance driving techniques.
In the controlled environment of the track, without the distraction of opposing traffic, practice...

Controlled stopping and cornering techniques

Skid recovery

Skid pad exercises emphasising car control and braking skills
8:30 am to 4:30 pm
Saturday, February 28
Saturday, April 11
Saturday, August 22
Saturday, December 19
Registration Fee - only $225
Includes Lunch and $15
Buttonwillow Gift Shop Credit

Gates open at 8:00 am for sign-in and safety inspection
Helmet Required
Participants welcome to bring family, friends and a picnic

I'm sure gotpball will get more info and advise.

called today and they are not taking reservations for next year until next month or so.

It will be 4900$ for full track, 1,200$ for insurance,135/hr for ambulance/fire, 250 a day for towing (optional). With all that added up. Be around 7450 $ for the whole day. That is 100 bucks for 75 people. Still a good price even if we get 50 people thats 150$ person.

Now for vendors there is a 100 vendor fee if they sell stuff i think. Might be free if they dont sell anything and try to compete with there gift shop.

Any updates on this? We're still on for Willow Springs 12/19, with Fastlane and a 10% discount...

Thanks,
Michael J.

I'm in whenever. Give me a better date and I will be more than happy to bring it to the Bakersfield Camaro Club and see how many people want to go. I have one question is this open only to the 5th gen. There are a ton of 1st gens in the Bakersfield Camaro club. I think it would be fun having all 5 generations there for a HUGE picture of all of the generations...........

Any progress on this?

How about we try to reserve the track for the C5fest weekend. That way we can do something on the west coast at the same time.
