Yahoo Maps distance: San Antonio to El Paso 552. mi Time: 7 hrs 21 mins
Dallas to El Paso 636. mi Time: 9 hrs 3 mins This is from downtown Dallas... and San Antonio. i think we can figure 30 minutes shorted actual drive time. but then we figure in the stops and a lunch break... so,
Sa to EP... 8.5 hours
Dallas to EP...10 hours...
Houston to SA... 2.5 to 3 hours... So 11 hours to El Paso, with stops and lunch figured in...

That being the case... If the Houston folks left there meet up at 6:00 am, they could meet up with the San Antonio folks by 8:30 or so... 30 minutes to gas and break, say hellos' etc... SA and houston folks are on the road to El Paso by 9:00...This puts us in El Paso around 5:30...6:00...

Dallas folks leave their meet spot around 7:30 to 8:00, and arrive in El Paso around 5:30 ... 6:00

I am open to suggestions and assistance on this... and feel free to refine this...

Las Cruces is 45 minutes or so further up the road after getting through El Paso, and we will be getting there around rush hour, but I do not know how intense that is compared to Dallas, San Antonio, or the Bay Town Parking Lot...

I think the Dallas gang will have some folks from as far as Virginia joinging them to eventually meet up with all of us for the trip to Chandler... BlackHawk6, and maybe others...

I am trying to be considerate of all with this, and at the same time allow for us to get to Las Cruces, check in and maybe have some time to go over to De La Vegas... Where Pat is trying to set up a nice meet and eat deal...

We can sleep in a little Thursday morning, as it is only another 5.5 hours or so the rest of the way...

comments, suggestions...

Bro, if I can get everyone on one thread, we are probably well over 50... This doesn't include the possible cars from Florida and Virginia that may join our caravan...

I know that once you start to drive into El Paso from your guys' direction that traffic will get real bad and actually add 45-55min to your trip. There are like 3 areas where the traffic will occur at around 4:30-6pm but worst will be entering EP. If need be you guys could take the 375 Loop once you enter EP that bypasses the city all together and takes you through Fort Bliss training ranges, straight up the Franklin mountains and connects you back on the I-10 to Las Cruces. That may save you about 45min. And may be even a slight scenic route that this area can offer.

That is very much appreciated... I'll factor that in when I actually have time to map this out... Where would that put us meeting you guys...

Welcoming Committee Waiting on IH 10 at the 375 loop interchange with banners waving...

I hope if we get the meet and eat sorted out in Las Cruces, you folks come up to join us even if you are not staying the night in Las Cruces...

Milk, would it help the road rage if I brought you some breakfast Tacos...
Do you want salsa verde or salsa rojo...Chilies... etc... and a diet coke.... and some rolaids, as your stomach probably got soft eating tofu and bean sprouts out there in California
