Question Wheel sensor ?

has anyone had any issues with wheel sensors? if so what was the cause of failure? the reason i ask is that my right rear wheel sensor is intermittently causing trouble code to come up and disabling my traction control. i had it scanned and the code indicated the there is a problem with the right rear sensor circuit.my plan is to order a new sensor and see if that fixes the problem.
