I have an issue (tires)
I still have the stock 20" tires with 25000miles on them. The rears are now bald and cord starting to show on driver rear.
I need to replace the rears but hate the stock tires. I have about 620hp/550rwhp. (Turbo) I need a good tire to get traction. But not at an astounding price. I heard of some 555r's but know little about them It is only a daily driver during the spring Sumer and fall. It gets stored when it snows. Please help I need to get them this weekend. I need to know what tires, size, everything. I want to use the stock 20" rims. Please help.

I replaced the stock Pirellis with the Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas from forum member, OHIO SPEED. So far dry and wet traction seems comparable to the P-Zeros but they seem to be wearing better. I didn't know the sizes either, I just called and they knew what I needed for stock rims.

Tons of tires here http://www.tirerack.com/tires/index....=true&index=xx
You may find better prices elsewhere but this site will provide lots of tire info for you. I've also heard Toyo and Cooper has very good tires for Camaros at good prices.

Did someone really just suggest all-season tires on a 620 horsepower setup? Wow.

I went with BFG G-Force Sport Comp 2 Tires. Better wet and cold traction than pirellis, tire life "should" be better too.
I say "should" because laying down a layer of rubber when taking off is very easy to do in these cars. http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/tire-...2/tire-details But, they only cost me about $230 per tire.

Toyo Proxes here, hopefully last longer than the 25K Pirellis they replaced. Good traction and quality for the $$$

If you are putting down those kind of HP numbers, a switch to wider rears may be in order.

Is it just me , but I think getting 25k out of a set of summer tire is pretty good .
Considering how much power he is laying down ? |

Try getting More than 7k with motorcycle tires.
Granted they cost slightly less..just saying 25k miles ain't too bad. |

If you plan on keeping the car spend the money and get a good set of tires.I have the Continental DWS and they handle and ride great.Remember you get what you pay for.
