So happy to have mine, but is anyone else having these problems?
So I've had my 2SS RS for 2 weeks now, Due to all the rain here in MA, I have only washed it 2x. After washing it, the sill and door jam are completely wet inside. The last time there actually was soap along the sill plate, which with all the rain and 2 washings is lifting at the outer edge. I was at the dealer for the lojack and asked. The sales guy asked if it was a power wash, I said yeah. He said its normal. Anyone else having this problem?
Also, what are you getting for an oil temp? Mine runs around 230. Asked the dealer, what normal temp was, they didn't even know. |

Not too sure but I would say normal would be in the 220 to 230 range myself. My car hasn't been built yet so I can't comment on your power wash problem. |

Don't have that problem only problem I've had so far is the SS emblem on trunk has started coming loose. Dealer has ordered me another one to replace this one. Don't know if it started coming loose on it's own. But I noticed it day they put my stripes on and don't know if he some how knocked it loose installing stripes or not but just keep an eye on it incase it is problem that could happen to others in the future.

We have had our cgm 2ss/rs for a week now and no problems(knock wood).I did notice the oil temp stays around 220.I have washed it several times and have not noticed the problem withthe sills. Going to have the stripes put on today and alittle nervous about it.

Same problem with my CTS. I dont mind the water in there but the soap is a pain in the a$$. I just spray the water when rinsing into door lines (doors closed of course)

I haven't seen any issues with the sills on mine. I'm working on week 4 now. Oil temp hovers around 220.

Yeah I have water in there also. I have 1 micro fiber towel I use to dry those out.

For the oil temp, there was another member here with the same thing... and took readings direct from the computer.... The gauge cluster showed it around 230, but the computer said 190 (Through the OBDII connection I believe).... My cluster also shows about 230 when fully warmed up... looks like all the guages are off a bit...

check your door alignment it may need to be adjusted. If the door does not align evenly with the quarter panel its not getting a proper seal thus water getting in easier.

Even with all our rain I noticed it a little wet. The water needs to go somewhere - the water is not coming in, dont worry 'bout it. Frameless doors are more prone to do this - NORMAL. Trans temp is about right - mine is a little lower

Hello!
|
My oil temp hangs out around 210 to 220...depending on how long my drive is and if it's stop and go.
Door sills are fine on mine. The water issue is normal for these doors...spray directly in the jams to get the soap out and then you'll need to dry them with a towel. No water in the car...just in the jams. |
