ADM ZL1 Clone #2 -7.0 LITER
So a long time customer came to me last week and stated that he wanted to be the #2 car that gets the ZL1 Blower Package,But with a twist.
He wants to put the blower on his current 7.0 liter At ADM we tend to do alot of things first, this has to be the first 2012 ZL1 Blower on a 427. Here is the recipe: Original ADM built LS7 with Mahle Forged pistons 11.4:1 Compression(Unchanged) Factory Titanium Rods Factory Forged LS7 Crank Machined Snout GT-11 Cam "LSA" 70CC Ported Heads 2" ARH Headers with Cats 3" Magnaflow Exhaust ADM ZL1 Intake 63lb Injectors ADM Dual fuel pump system ADM Tune 100% Stock ZL1 Blower,Intercooler,Heat Exchanger,Stock LSA Balancer,Stock Blower Pulley ZL1 water lines ADM Intercooler Pump LSA Spark Plugs First we remove the engine and strip it down: Then we lay out new parts: Last edited by ADM PERFORMANCE; 02-18-2012 at 11:02 AM. |

I believe
I anticipate that this will be very popular with the ZL1 Crowd as a bulletproof upgrade for their curret 580 hp setup.
The stock LSA engines make around 470-490 rwhp in the CTSV(ZL1 Should be in that area).By increasing Cubic inches and Compression along with the swirl technology in the LSA head I feel the combo should produce great power and torque without having to overspin the supercharger. The Boost should drop considerably with the combo we have put together here,Cubic inches and compression along with the cam choice and headers should put me in the 5.5-6 psi range on pump gas.We anticipate 630-650 rwhp on this package or 775 flywheel. With an upper Pulley change and a little race gas or E85 this could possibly put the car in 800+ flywheel hp range or 700rwhp...With Only 1.9 liter blower |

Andy, the S/C kit showing, is that a CTS kit or ZL1 kit? From what I understand the ZL1 S/C is different in some areas, like the internal Intercooler is larger and etc.
Another words, is GM already selling ZL1 S/C kit? |

For Instance: ZL1 HAS NO POWER STEERING PUMP CTSV A/C AND CAMARO SS AC DOES NOT WORK ON ZL1 BLOWER INTERCOOLER IS SAME BUT TOP IS NOT. FUEL RAIL - BIG PROBLEM AND MANY OTHER THINGS But we got it all figured out.Unfortunantly we do not sell this out the door,It must be installed in house. |

Just saw where Andy posted the build. One feature of using the ZL-1 package is that ONLY the blower is driven by an eight rib belt. The pwr steering, water pump, and alternator are seperately driven by a second six rib belt. And lastly the AC compressor has its own belt just like a stock Camaro. If, for some reason, you lose/break the blower belt you just continue to drive home. Some nice engineering and forthought by GM.
