a few questions concerning the Metra Kit
Hey guys,
I need a double din in the camaro, the stock radio is just terrible. I have a few questions concerning the metra kit if anyone can answer them for me. 1- Does the Metra kit really retain all steering wheel functions? 2- Does it retain the stock USB hookup and microphone for phone use? 3- Does it retain the rear parking sensors? Those are the 3 main things I'd like to know before pulling the trigger. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

.. i can answer on Scoshe ji ji ji Its not what you asked but you can use it to compare.
1- Does the Metra kit really retain all steering wheel functions? Scosche retains SWC. New model radios may not work as is the same case for Metra 2- Does it retain the stock USB hookup and microphone for phone use? Scosche is a dash kit.. not a radio. So those options would have to be compatible with your radio. I have a kenwood and i can retain the USB that came with the car by using a USB to mini adapter I did however use a different MIC for my bluetooth. 3- Does it retain the rear parking sensors? Scosche retains these with its own speaker. Hope this helps you to compare.. happy shopping !

1- Does the Metra kit really retain all steering wheel functions? Yes, it does
2- Does it retain the stock USB hookup and microphone for phone use? I do know the microphone is still functioning...I'm pretty use the USB works too. My DD headunit had two USB's so I used those over the stock USB...but its still in the center console 3- Does it retain the rear parking sensors? yes it does...I hate them...I prefer using my rear view camera over the sensors.

Installed the metra kit with Kenwood TV unit...Fit * Finish excellent...Retained SWC...Only thing went to GM garage for service they disconnected battery...Seemed to have lost SWC...Everything else fine...People are telling me to just reprogram and everything will be fine...Esthetics looks much better than stock...

you will probably need to hit search and type metra problem. Cause Kendell347 says there are no issues with SWC but i read somewhere else that new kenwoods were not working either just like scosche. Maybe you should specify which DD are u using
