Look it up in the manual or wait on a letter in the mail or Onstar to notify you if you are part of the recall. Also, do a search on the forums for oil pickup tube recall.

I think the point some of you are missing here is the vast majority of these questions are easily answered on your own. The search function, a google search, or checking the owners manual are all things you should be doing before posting a question on this forum. People who frequent these forums are sick and tired of the same question being posted eight million times because people are TOO LAZY to do the leg work themselves. In the time it takes a person to post a question or topic, 9 times out of 10 it could have already been answered by searching this forum. Then people beating up on Glen because he is trying to encourage people to stop being lazy and familiarize yourself with resources that could help you is just crazy.

Picked up my car and everything was finished in a few hours. I did talk with the service tech and apparently there are different oil pans depending on your manufacture date and if you have a particular type of oil pan (mine did not) you could experience a ~10 hour fix versus the shorter version that I experienced. Apparently in that case they have to do much more extensive work...maybe pull the engine or something?

Not sure how you check for the type of oil pan you have, but if you check with the dealer before taking it in, I'm sure they can tell you.

Had mine checked out with an oil change and it was good to go. No repairs needed!
