I get it. GM has concluded that the typical camaro owner is much more easily "distracted" than a Buick or Cadillac owner, so they needed to remove the ABL from the dash.

The real solution would have been to disable ABL if you have a prescription to Prozak.

Hylton, stop being an ass. He makes a valid point, and we all just let it go after it was brought up in December because we didn't want to feel bad about getting a faulty lighting system.

Yes, ambient lighting is not completely finished and the full product will likely be on future Camaros. Hopefully we will still have the option to order the complete kit from GM and have it installed with the cars we have now.

Keep in mind also that the Camaro has a wee little windshield. ANY distraction will have a greater effect. I haven't driven the Buick, but I can only assume it's visibility is much better.

What bugs me is the amount of people who adamantly DEFEND the reasons which are floating around as mere RUMORS as if they are fact, based solely on their position as excuses for what appears to be an engineering defect that was not resolved in time for production.

There's a lot of enthusiasts here who have "camaro colored glasses" on (not saying you are one, just saying they lurk and post here) and refuse to accept anything that disturbs their "perfect" illusion of the car.

It would be nice if people were a little more critical and less apologetic, so the real truth behind some of the production glitches would get out. I'd like to see more "transparency" from GM.
