So what. There will always be a car that will beat yours. Get used to it. Big deal. Enjoy your car and what it is. Even John Force gets beat.

I really like the Challenger, really really like it. But it would cost him over 10k to get there if it's even possible (I'm not sure FI is an option on the LX V6 cars).

Just take him out for a spin in the SS. He still probably won't eat the crow he should, but I'm thinkin he is not apt to make that statement again.

I like challenger styling, but its tooo expensive. More than V6 camaro i believe. I would go for v6 camaro, worth my money and fun to drive. 312HP vs 250 HP pshhhh

Actually as the R/T Challenger is cheaper than the SS and so is the V6, but right now the V6 Challenger isn't worth buying IMHO, also 290HP is what the non DI Pentastar makes in the Grand Cherokee, all signs point to the Challenger getting a DI version with considerably more HP. As for him modifying tobeat the SS he is dreaming. I don't know if it is even possible and hell, if it is the old 4 speed auto 09 model the tranny is only rated to handle like 300 HP/torque. Tell him just to trade it for an auto R/T and do CAI/Exhaust/tune and then he should at least give you a good race.

One of those classic internet forum questions where ya, it's perfectly plausible. It might not even be that expensive. It would not be the best use of money though and who knows how long your engine would last. If you're a good mechanic- $7000. Spend $700 on the bottle and you may get surprisingly close for cheap.

The curb weight on the Challenger SE is only 3760 lbs. Still heavy, but not 4000+ like the R/T and SRT-8.
