2010 Fred Gibb commemorative 427 Camaro Number 1, by Nickey Chicago - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

We are offering all known owners, a limited right of first refusal, regarding the original Fred Gibb ZL1 ordered, 1969 aluminum engine Camaros, a.k.a. COPO 9560, which are registered with the sYc, in order to purchase a Nickey Chicago built 5th generation Camaro, with a matching Fred Gibb Serial number.

If you own one of the original 1969 ZL1 Fred Gibb Camaros and would like to have Nickey build a matching serialized 5th generation commemorative Camaro for you, then please contact us.
For example: We contacted the owner of ZL1 number one and he chose to pass on the opportunity to have us build that car for him.

We had several inquiries regarding FG serial number one and one of those customers has chosen to take that spot and purchase serial number 1. This Camaro will be FG10001.
These special Camaros are approved and officially licensed by Helen and Nancy Gibb and will be limited to a production run of only 50 cars, plus of course the two prototypes.

We will chronicle the build of Number One right here on this thread.

427ci ZO6 Block with upgraded custom internals

Ported and blueprinted LS9 Heads

Magnuson Chrome finish supercharger

Upgraded trans and Converter

Pedders Xa suspension Package

Full custom Gibb edition headers and exhaust, by ARH with Nickey specs noweeds Diverters.

HD axle shafts and CVs

3.73 rear gear

Fuel Management and CAI by ADM

Aluminum drive shaft (still experimental, we are on the third one)

Lots of other cool Stuff..............

Above, GM dropships new Camaro to one of our local Nickey Network Dealers.

While we do some testing and R&D at Wegner with varrious compression, cam and boost levels, we start the disassembly process here at the shop.

Yes, it is and will be an automatic. Some of the quickest original drag race prep ZL1s were automatics too.

Just my opinion of course, but performance cars should have manual transmissions. I'd never buy one that didn't, but I realize not everyone feels that way.
