What do you think?
I ordered my Camaro and am all ready looking into aftermarket parts. Here is my end goal:
1. Street Legal (That means CA emissions) 2. Daily Driver capable (No removing things like A/C, Airbags, Backseat)http://www.camaro5.com/forums/images...racter0182.gif 3 .High 11's (Who dosen't want better track times but I am realistic) 4. N/A (Super/Turbos not for me) 5. Not bad highway mileage (as long as i keep my foot out of it of course!)http://www.camaro5.com/forums/images/smilies/23.gif I know it CAN be done so here is what I'm thinking. I will tackle this from two fronts. More power less weight better traction. I forget who but someone (ADM?) Was trying to Fit 19x10's. This will probably be as wide as I could go. Saving weight on wheels, rotors, lugnuts, driveshaft is a must. Also can lighten the hood, trunk, add battery. As for the engine I don't see any way around not completely reworking the top end. I really don't want to pull the block, not really set up for that. So... Underdrive Thermostat (180) Headers (Remember #1!) Exhaust System (Remember #1!) Intake (102mm) Cam (I'm looking for entire powerband) Timing chain (some of the corvette guys have had problems) True Roller Rocker arms (not sure what is stock) Valve springs (to go with the cam) Pushrods (Not sure what stock is) Port&pollish Air box (looking into Ran Air) And of course a good Tune. This is the one I know nothing about. All my wrench turning is old school. Any Ideas? |

I have nothing against superchargers, it's just for my camaro, If i was going to F/I i would have a blower style exploding out of my hood which would defeat #2.

a supercharger should fit just fine under the stock hood. If it does, would you consider a supercharger then? a supercharger should be BETTER for #2 than trying to do it NA.
