7 months to get an axle....I would have been screaming bloody murder. I wouldn't have made it I would have had to buy some after market ones. Someone on this forum probably had some stock take offs....Holy Cow I am in disbelief

No I think he's referring to the door panel that was scratched on delivery.

Timeline:

OP date 5-9-2010, said it broke Friday which would be 5-7-2010, dealer calls "car ready" 5-13-2010 = car fixed 6 days after breakage.

So if they replaced a "drivetrain" part under warranty, I wonder if the car was tuned and returned to stock, or if the computer has never been touched?

......no need to answer that

yeah, I think the OP meant that it took 7 months to get the door panel. The axle actually arrived pretty quickly.

I'm glad you're back in your Camaro. Be careful with that launch control!

yes back in the car. it was the interior door panel that took 7 months. i didnt think to ask on pick up and by the time i really got under the car and looked the shop was closed but my question to anyone who might know is the replacement part (axel) an upgraded version or just an identical replacement? the reason i ask is because visually the replacement looks thicker than the one that didnt break. so on a stock manual 2SS is the passenger side drive axel thicker from the factory or have i been upgraded?? i will say that the turn around time on the repair was amazing considering the car broke on friday and they didnt even look at it until monday. a little sad about the door panel though as they replaced my original one with 1 scratch for a brand new one with 2 scratches.
