Hey Guys!

I just saw that thread - I got Camaro RS 2012 - I got front 245/45/20 and rear 275/40/20 - I want to buy and put "original" Camaro rear rims/wheels to front and make square of 275/40/20/. Will it work and be safe?

I got front 245/45/20 8" OEM and want to buy another set of rears OEM RIMS 275/40/20 9" and put them up-front (I want the same front and rears) - and make it square.

Should I be worried there will be problems with offset up front with new 20/9" ?

Front is ET35 now. And I will have rim for ET40 (rears to put in front).

I did this on my 2011 LT and it works great. I did have to use a 5mm spacer due to a brembo brake upgrade I installed. If you have the original brakes, I don’t think you’ll need the spacer.

According to automotive accessories blog bestnetreview, it says it will fit on a rim width of 5-6.5" the front rims on a smart are only 4.5" wide. if you use the wider tires on a narrow rim, you risk the bead not setting right, and wear down the center of the tire, plus on curves it could pop off the bead because the sidewalls will be bulged. But as I have said before, it is your car, do what you feel you must.
