Dis-colored paint on my bumper
Ok I got my new Camaro a little over a week ago and I have come to notice last week on the front bumper there is a spot about a foot and a half wide that is faded and a different color silver. You can't see it when the sun is hitting in the the middle of the day but when the car is in the shade and at night when lights hit it, it is very noticeable. Is this something that the warranty will cover? I mean I just hate the idea that i spent 30,000+ for a car that already has a blemish and I want to get this fixed asap and need some input. Don't get me wrong i love my car and I am super excited but this needs to be taken care of and i need advice on how to take care of it.

well have another eye check it out. With this metallicy paint these days it can look different certain days and nights. But yeah your warranty will cover it.

If it's the front or rear bumper covers then that's normal. The paint dries and cures differently on the metal vs the poly surface. Post pics of what you see.

wtf are they doing up there in Canada? Slow down production and get it right!
ezlock, take it to the dealership and ask to have it fixed. Looks like they need to repaint the bumper for sure.

Hum. Did the dealer do that I wonder? Looks like they might of overbuffed it. The paint is way thin on all new cars.
The circles do look like some one put a polish wheel on it and just went to town. |

That's pretty awful. It looks like the clear coat has been damaged. You need to get that back to a dealer for replacement. Make sure that the dealer that helps you is very reputable in the paint booth.

yeah looks like a repaint. But first give it a good wash and wax. would hate to look like an idiot for something like that.
