I been thinking of getting a radar detector, but dont know if its a waste of money or not and or which one to get..

Did some searching on google for reviews but still not sure as cops dont shoot at you till its too late, so thinking it might be just a waste of money...

I have a Cobra radar detector I got for $100 5 years ago. Works fantastic. I went to a more expensive detector about a year ago bc everyone said Escorts are awesome. They suck! Junked it and went back to what has saved my bacon (get it?) more than once.

Here we go again...

I personally feel its a waste. But there are plenty of hardcore guys on here that truly believe its worth the $1500 you will spend on a good one.

Honestly, it's up to you. Me personally, I just try to stay at or near the speed limit. That usually works pretty good.

Waste of money. Troopers use lasers and you can't beat those.

Mine (V1) has not proved very useful, although on long trips it sometimes warned me if cops were ahead. Around the city it's useless.

I've been driving for 28 yrs and have never owned one. I've received 3 speeding tickets in my life. Two at age 16 and one when I was 21.
Drive like you're supposed to and no need for one.

Yep. I've never gotten a speeding ticket that I didn't deserve.

Yea thats the issue probley deserve one all the time just dont want one....
