Need opinions on new tires!

Buying new tires for the SS wheels I am about to install, what should i purchase? i Need opinions please!!!!!!

Rigt now im looking at the original Pirellis that come with the wheels, but also Falkens, Hankooks, Nitto, and BF Goodrich. What you know about any of these. Looking to keep the original size at 245/45/20 and 275/40/20

Yes, I agree, IMHO, new tires are great.

Good luck!

There is a thread here somewhere, only God knows where, but one guy had a good idea to buy two of the same size back rims and then put 4 of the same tires on all 4 wheels so you could rotate them in a normal fashion and get more treadlife out of them.

Given what these tires cost, that aint a bad idea, and I doubt if I would be able to tell the difference.

I live in the midwest, so Pirelli P-Zero's are definitely out IMO. They are a summer only tire and I'm not really impressed with their tire life. When it comes time to replace my stock Pirelli's, I'm leaning towards the BF Goodrich G-force.

Goodrich Comp-2's rock. I put a set on the rear and they are better than the G-Max's in corning and rain. Blow the P-Zero's out of the water in the rain.

....in every conceivable way, these are vastly superior tires.

well it is because the P-zero is NOT designed for rain, at all.

The trend here is towards the BFG Comp-2. Several in our club have swapped over, and they seem to out perform the P-Zero's in every category.

What is your experience with tread noise reported by some who have installed BFG Comp2's.
How about ride harshness?
I'm approaching tire replacement time, like the P Zero's, but willing to try Comp 2's

I had a set of Continental Extreme DWS for winter up here in the Pacific Northwest. Great all-weather tire.

I need tires soon too. Do they make Nitto 555's for the SS rim sizes?

Hankooks are crap, at least on the two company Dodge caravans I've had. They put Michelin replacements on my 2009 van and no more slipping and sliding in the rain.
