Camaro wheel sizes

So we know that the Camaro is not going into production with the concept version's 21" and 22" wheels, does anyone have any info on what they will actually be? I sure hope they are at least 18/19 and I do hope they keep the same scheme with the 1" larger rear wheel and fatter tires. I'm also curious what tire manufacturer will equip the Camaro with tires.

The most commonly seen wheel sizes were.......
245/45ZR20 front
275/40ZR20 rear
There were V6's with smaller wheels, probably 17's or 18's.

yep...MIFbody's event had the IVER Camaro there and it had a full set of 20's on it. It'll be a lil' more expenisve to replace tires, but man, do they look better.

Yup.... 20's are good enough for me. Either way its gonna smoke the mustang in every way possible so i guess we shouldnt be too worried, right?

^Only problem...can't rotate the tires to all four corners.....just left to right. AND...that's if the tires are NOT directional. If you want to rotate the directional tires from left to right, you have to remove them from the rim and get them rebalanced.

No thanks on 20's and 21's from me. That would be mighty expesive having to replace the tires.....and a little more often for me...

What do you mean? The fronts will last forever and the rears you will change every few weeks. You'll only ever need to buy 2 at a time!

The fronts WILL wear if you like to drive the the curves.......at the camaro's limit. Not that Camaro owners would drive irresponsibly...

Shoot...I priced tires for my 17's and to get some good ones were $700. I ended up searching, got Z rated Sumitomo HTR+ and only spent $450 or so. Spending a grand on new tires every couple of years doesn't sound that great to me.

i dig the look of the concept with 20" front and 21" rear, but i don't think this would be very practical. i'll be happy with just 18" all around

is the wheel well gap that much of an issue if you are going to drop the car anyway? ;-) I'd be happy with 19 or 20's, as long as there is room to go down a little bit.
