The short Q/A is Two 10sec car one run 119mph the other 110mhp, The 119 was spining and has to go at a faster MPH but the 110mph didn't spin. So they tell me.
Sorry I missed that...just watched the vid..

Its gonna be fun to hear the result and story!

and that's part of the fun of this thread... you have the OP who has never been to the track vs an experienced driver...

I'm not saying the OP is this way, but I have come across more than a few ****y newbies at the track that think they are just going to jump in their new car and rip off a magazine time even though they have never been to the track in their life! LOL!

But the OP has a great attitude! Head out to the track and just have FUN!!

John is one of my best friends at work (he's retired now) (3 mo after that vid)(still getting the CRIP out of his pants).Brakes over PART 1.

We use to call John "Cadillac John" Because he had 2or3 caddy all the time. He had STS that he was going to race my 1993 SHO with his STS. But Never race because my oldest (DADDY's)little girl drove it to collage every day and gave it back to me busted. So I sold It. pt2

A yr or 2 later John said He is getting CTS-V to beat my 93SHO. I tell him I'm getting the new SHO (TO OLD MEN TELLING STORY's). I get 2011 SHO John still no Cadillic, We tell him his wife wear the pants in his house and wouldn't let him buy a $90k car. So John say I'll show y'al who wears the pants. He got $30K out his 401k and got the Camaro cash. 3 weeks after getting the car he is at the track and I TOLD JOHN HE MAY HAVE THE FASTEST CAR BUT IS THE SLOWEST DRIVER. After that run his name became" FAST CAR JOHN" WE talk about John for the next 3mo until he retired for cripping the bed at the track!!!!!!!

When you guys race, have someone bring a tripod for the video camera.

Mine post was more about how broad the bolded statement is. Lot's of TT V6s will have no problem taking out a bolt-on SS. Also, I think you will find it is not a common occurance for a bolt-on SS to run 12.5 a 0 DA. Take a look at the uncorrected 1/4-mile fast list. I think there are about 40 that have done it. So, yes a 12.7 Ford Flex or SHO would give most bolt-on SSs a run for their money, even if both drivers are good.

Bro not trying to offend your TT V6 as I thought is was clear that I was talking about the Flex and most notably the silver SS in the Vid. The driver in that vid totally fracked up a shift but still managed to almost run the Flex down. Considering it had 18" drag radials and bolt ons I am sure the CAR was more than capable of a mid 12's pass in 0DA. The driver on that run got beat not the car. This is what I was trying to say in post 81. Hope this clears it up for you.

Not offended at all, what I'm saying is Dan isn't a novice driver. Maybe not his best run, but not Scrming's either (0.2 off his best). To the best of my knowledge Dan has never run a 12.5 in his bolt-on SS (Scrming, correct me if I'm wrong here); and most with a bolt-on SS won't either. So, the two vehicles are pretty evenly matched and both will probably win about half the races they line up against each other.

Dan was running low 12's I think by the end of the season... Not sure where he ended up. On the video I posted, i had a poor light.. .20x... Typically I'm in the .0xx range.

3 of Swords is another LS3 that has made some very nice passes... He has a better ET but I always manage to tree him... Even if it means cutting a perfect light! LOL!

I have seen plenty of newbie's in SS's run high 13's and even 14's...

Bolt-on is a generic term meaning Intake/headers/ exhaust. Simple bolt on upgrades. No power adders. No cam.

What newb said!

It would be like you putting a CAI, downpipes and exhaust on your SHO.

BTW, I'm a dumb Ford guy, too. Eco-boost F150.
