My dealer called me yesterday on the way to Scotts. (first time he ever called me) and asked if I could do them a favor and bring my Camaro back for the big Camaro unveiling day at the dealership. So he says "Ok, just for arguement sake let's pretend you don't have it by then, could you come down to the lot to answer questions and stuff? We need someone who knows all about this car".

WTF? Is he just trying to get me down there to do his job? Why the hell? Do they know nothing about this freaking car? This was the weirdest phone call I have gotten in a long time.

I tell you one thing. This whole thing has given me some insight to a lot of car dealer business. Why would he call me and tell me this? How unorganized can people be? This is so freakin weird it's not even funny. it's almost like a joke.

Just say "Sure, if you are willing to knock a couple hundred bucks off of my MSRP, I'd be happy to spend the afternoon helping people with questions. Think of all the sales I could get you!"

And make sure there's free food

So you are one of 2 Camaros that they are getting at Gravel.(1xSS and 1x2LT)
How did you get your Vin#. My CSR at GM Canada just called and told me mine was built and it's in the parking holding lot in Oshawa. She said there is a delay (HOLDING)for ALL of the Camaros in CANADA and did not have a delivery date. She didn't want to give me my Vin#. Who is your sales rep at Gravel...mine is Sako?

Heinzdo1 - Vin # 3090 has been delivered to Phillips Chevy in Illinois. Personally saw it Monday night. Did not have a camera on me, I know let the bashing begin. It is sweet though !

Kinda crazy isn't it. How are we supposed to feel good about ANY info our dealers give us with calls like that?
