So I get a supplier discount because of the company that I work for.
Does anyone know whether supplier discounts will be available at launch or if we'll have to wait 3 months, 6 months, next model year?

I already put my $1k down at a dealership.

I figure if I have to wait a little bit to get the discount I can get my deposit back and stand at the end of the line again. Just depends on how much the discount is and how far it would put me back.

One dealer I talked to last night said they wouldn't have Supplier Discounts at the start. Not sure if that is a policy across the board however.

I heard the Supplier discount is based on Dealer choice.
My dealer is accepting it! But then, he rocks!

GM has to offer first. Then it up to dealers on whether than are going to accept, several dealers have said they would take it and others say they won't, but the key is GM going to offer it. As of right now some think they will as the Camaro Concept is on the Supplier Discount page now, however I have from the "best source" on this site that it has not been decide on whether GM is going to offer it. Until GM gives the go, it doesn't matter what dealers say. Lets hope GM will offer it.

I think he is using Camaro Scotty, I believe he has allocation for four, but Im sure someone will correct me if I am wrong

Don't know his allocation, I just know I pre-ordered. Guess we'll wait and see. By best source, do you mean the fbodfather?

yes sir, i that is who I mean. It is very important that you know what number you are for any dealer and how many they are allocated, if not you could order but not get a car until after the 3rd quarter of 09.

GMU (supplier discount) is set by GM. Dealers are NOT required to offer it (same goes with GMS which is employee discount).

Yes, I said it before, If GM offers it, we will honor it. Gotham is in our allocation, not outside it, so he's all good.

Yes, the only way to get a GMU (supplier) discount is through the Grad program, the military, work for a supplier, or the friends and family program (know someone who works for GM directly, they get these auth #'s). Any other way you receive these could possibly void the transaction and bring legal action.
