1/4 mile time estimate
Just out of curiosity, what kind of ET would my SS run with light mods (cat-back exhaust and CAI)? I'm assuming it would probably be into the 12s?

Depends on temp outside and air quality. It should run high 12s in good conditions.

How about 0-60 times? What are you guys typically getting with intake, cat-back and tune?

Ooops It's an auto (L99) Already did a CAI inc and Solo exhaust, and hopefully adding the Jannetty tune shortly.

With out a tune you're looking at an average of very low 13's. With a tune, CAI and axle back that should be good for 12.8-12.7 pretty easily.

With a C.A.I. Inc. intake and the Solo Exhaust the best i have had is 12.86 in the 1/4 mile.

Cam only times range from low 11's to mid 12's. Even two identical set ups can run far different depending on driver and conditions. Only way to know for sure is to just run it yourself. IMO a stage 2 cam...if you must think in these terms...would be a medium size cam. Approx ~230 intake duration and exhaust duration of approx ~235. Lift will vary from about .600 to .640 depending on lobe profile. Roughly high 11's...but this can vary greatly given conditions and driver etc. Some random guesses from gathered forum times.... Stage 1= small cam...~low 12's Stage 2=medium cam..~high 11's Stage 3=large cam...~mid 11's. Best case scenario max effort NA build (aggressive Heads and Cam)= High 10's to low 11's. All times considering near stock race weight. Last edited by ULTRAZLS1; 02-21-2012 at 11:41 AM. |

L99 A6 with catback and CAI = low 13s in most conditions. You'd need excellent conditions to run any faster than that.
Most L99 A6s need a good tune (along with a CAI) to break into the high 12s in most track conditions. |
