Put it in 1st gear hold the clutch ease on the gas as your letting off the clutch slowly you will feel where the clutch starts to grab and as the clutch grabs ease more into the gas until you have fully let out on the clutch pedal same for the rest of the gears except not as much gas. The ride will be jerky but you will get the hang of it and will get better and better just be carefull stopping on inclines you will have to hold the brake pedal and do all of this but you will also get use to that too! Hope this helps

if you can afford to get a Pc steering wheel with a 3 pedal setup (logitech g25) and Rfactor pc racing sim you can practice that way. Learn with no fear since a simple reset is all needed if you wreck.

Seriously, have you ever noticed how any time someone expresses interest in learning how to drive a manual transmission, those who already can come out and start mocking the people and telling them that they're not real drivers and should just go buy a Prius because they suck? Someone tries to learn and they attack them for asking. Then they go on and whine that no one drives a manual transmission.

Unfortunately, happens all the time on these threads. I would recommend a professional driving course. They will teach you how to really handle a manual so that you will both enjoy driving and be a better driver.

I think alot of people commute every day and thats why you are seeing more and more kids getting their parents hand me down cars and never learning how to drive a manual. I thinks everyone should atleast learn how to and I am willing to teach anyone who wants to if your ever in the houston area hit me up and I will give you a lesson in my camaro.

I taught my friend to drive a manual in 15 minutes. I had him first just let the clutch out slowly until it started to grab and then push it back so the truck wouldn't stall. I had him do this a few times to get the feel of it and how the truck would react. Then I had him drive around a parking lot in 1st only so he would figure out when to push in the clutch to turn and when to let it out while giving it some gas. After that I told him to hit the streets and he was good from then on.
