Oh man, I so wanted to get the Synergy Green. That was the whole reason I started looking into the V-6 in the first place. Although the wife did not want the green at all, I was trying to order one locally. Then, they announced the Synergy Green would be limited run on the SS's then meh, I went and got the CGM. Figured the V-6 would be better suited for my daughter and I would get a Z-28 in 2012 or so.

Yup Screaming, definately think Ling/Henn, etc. found the higher boost problematic and not worth the effort. 5 psi. just gets us around an SS or slightly ahead so based on math, not worth it to produce a kit.

It is driving me crazy. I guess it is good for all that I'm so busy at work right now. With me not being in their hair they are going to make a lot quicker progress. They are doing a better job than I could...I just don't have a place to do all the fabrication.

Know what you mean. I was saving for a Z06 and was going to paint it green as my first mod. Then the dealer, know how much I loved green, showed me the picture of this thing and I had to think about it. I drove one and was impressed that it only had a V6. After reading about the new engine I was sold (what's a few more years getting a vette?)!

We'll lick the fuel problem and be able to do 8-9 psi...I'm betting on it anyway.

Good progress yesterday. They got the passanger side location worked out and now the are both mounted. Both hang below the frame about 1/2 inch and the passanger side is a few inches aft of the first. Now they have to do the piping to bring the waste gates back to line up and give easy access for changing springs.

The driverside is most complete and hopefully they will get the wastegate installed and the exhaust connected today. They are doing some shop cleanup and a couple of dyno tunes today, so maybe not.

This is the passanger side and you can see they did a good job of getting it to clear everything, especially those pesky oil lines.

The bad news is that the IC won't be here until Thr. They should have all the piping run up to the front by then, but just don't know how long getting the IC in and everthing hooked up will take. I'm still hoping we can get it running by next Saturday.

at the 5psi any idea what kind of power you will have at the wheels? would it be more than the single turbos or about the same?

Should be roughly the same as the folks with the single (I think about 360-370). The twins are just allowing me to keep temps down and prepare for phase 3 (big power) when the parts are available. The bigger turbos will prevent spooling up too quickly and help keep from shredding the transmission/differential. The STS guys will probably have a better looking power curve than me but will probably see more heat issues and be limited in total power when after market fuelling solutions and engine internals are developed.

This setup will definetly produce more power than I would ever put to the wheels (~900 HP @ 30 psi) if we could get the fuel to it. At 8-9 psi I think it will be around 420-425 RWHP. We can't do very good calculations until we see how much the IC will lose.

A big thanks

I wanted to thank Nick at TTI and Jeff at IPS (while in the middle of their big move) for helping with getting the Innercooler. They both answered my questions promptly and I think we ended up with a good solution. If you ever get a chance to use their services, I think you will be very pleased!

Thanks Ivan!

I lived in ABQ back in the 80s and still have a few friends there. Who knows, may get back that way some day (I hear there's a big event out west of you sometime in April)!

IPS is working on a TT kit for the V6, too (http://camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=111050). So the custom route (which I'm sure Ivan can do) isn't the only option.

Update 11-17-2010

I've been two busy to go down and check on things, but I think they are making progress. My buddy's Speed3 is going in for a new clutch tomorrow with a pickup date of Friday, so I'm guessing they will have mine off the rack by Thr. night. They are supposed to get the IC tomorrow. I would think all this taken togeter indicates they are planning on having all work needing a rack done by Friday morning. They can put the IC on with it on the ground, but it would be easier on the rack. I'll go down Friday to see. Until, I'll keep wishing I had my car to drive...
