Not bad, But the G8 GXP is stll faster in the straights, and it will easily out handle and brake the sho.
Motortrend did a 0-60 in 4.8, 1/4 13.3 at 105mph. for the SHO http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...ook/index.html |

If it were still 2001, I would agree wholeheartedly.
However, the Taurus is no longer a bottom-of-the-barrel sedan. I don't know if you've seen a new one in person, but they're every bit as nice as a 3-series BMW. The interior is particularly well-done. Plus, you get the performance of a last-gen M3 as well. |

So the Jag. brought the Taurus up. I thought Taurus brought the Jag. down.

I was intrigued until I saw it looks to be a front-drive platform...I can't equate performance and front-drive....doesn't compute for me.....

I'm neither a Ford guy or a 4-door sedan guy, but I must say, that is an attractive car. If anything, GM might want to restyle and upgrade the Impala as a result.

Nope, not feeling it. Horsepower looks pretty good but the car itself doesnt look sporty enough. It needs some side skirts on it to make it look lower and hunkered down to the ground.

Good challenger to the G8 GT, but I'm not so sure about the GXP. The new Taurus is a fine car, but $38K is very steep. Product win, price fail.

Did anyone see the torque curve on Jalopnik? OMG 350 ft/lbs flat from 1500 to 5000 RPM's....I've never seen anything like that before even on a diesel.
