Base is $37,995 so, yes, right at $40K. I doubt the price difference between that and the Camaro SS is going to keep people from getting butt-hurt if/when they get it handed to them by a four-door Ford.

Do I think that is going to happen very often, no, but it shows that in today's day and age, you better be careful about what you are picking on.

the SHO is actually 45 grand on the window sticker (no markup, just MSRP) i don't know if a SHO has options that would make it 45K or not or that's just the price for it with no options.

Fully optioned out SHOs are in the upper 40s. It's supposed to sticker for 37-38K ish with nothing added (kinda like the Z/28 argument).

Base Taurii sticker in the 25-28K range, and share the engine that's in the vehicle I'm currently driving. The fact that it weighs the same as a Taurus tells me that yes.. the base Taurus will be amusing to drive. Fun? Well that's just subjective..

Edge: Curb weight of about 4300lbs
Taurus: 4300lbs?

Edge Engine: Duratec 35
Taurus Engine: Duratec 35

...yeah. GM, where's our Impala SS?

Oh, over in Australia with Holden and HSV badges on it. Why it hasn't been approved yet, I'll never know.

It's a shame they made the rear end of the new taurus nicer than the '10 mustangs! lol that is one beast of a family car though.
