Majority of women are competely oblivious to cars. But the small amount that do notice come out of the woodwork to compliment my car. The other day I had a cougar stop me in a parking lot and give me her number. Tugging on my heart strings: older than me and into my car

Nobody can answer this correctly. There simply isn't a "yes or no" answer. Everybody likes different things. It would be like starting a thread titled "Is football the greatest sport on Earth?". You'd get 6 trillion different responses. Personally, a Ferrari could drive passed my wife and if somebody threw a Coach Purse in front of her at the same time, she wouldn't even notice the car.

Here's my spin on it, using a gas station with pretty girl coming out the door as example situation.

Girl sees man #1 pull up in a POS with hood, fender, or trunk another color because it was pulled from junk yard. He gets out of the car and has to slam the door twice because the hinges don't align. He then walks into the store and pretty girl at the door doesn't give a second look.

Same girl watches man #2 pull up in a car he's proud of (it could even be a Camaro). It's obvious he likes the car, and takes care of it. The paint shines from a fresh detail, and he might even get out with a bit more "yeah, I know you're looking" attitude. Dare I say a little more swagger for good measure? He walks into store and same pretty girl at the door gives him the flirt.

I think the difference isn't the car, at least not directly. Man #2 will probably present a different body language. More confident, head up and looking around instead of down at the ground. And THAT is what pretty girl at the door reacts to... the body language.

Think of it this way guys... would YOU rather talk to a lady that gets out of her car with a big face of Camaro Perma-grin, or one that doesn't?

For the record, there are four Camaro owners where I work, and three of them are women. Maybe the question should be "Is the Camaro still a man magnet"?

I think the apearance of the man has a lot to do with it too. If this guy (see pic) pulls up and jumps out of the Camaro, I don't think he'd have much luck. Liking someone simply for their car? Quite lame.

Well, 40k for a 2SSRS. BTW, why would a "chick" care about your fuel mileage. They arent lining up around the corner for the dude in a smart car.

Its a sexy car, chicks dig the color, and the interior, as well as the power and the sound.

I would say that a mustang is on the same level.

But a huge factor is just that it is new, chicks dont really know how much cars cost, they judge on looks and how new it is.

Will it turn as many heads as a ferrari? No, but its better looking than a lot more expensive cars out there.

If you are "picking up" chicks...anywhere...you best have a good supply of anti-biotics. If you meet them normally, the car doesn't matter. The best "chick magnets" are little kids. If you don't have one, borrow one from your neighbor. They will probably be happy to loan one to you to get some peace and quiet time around the house. And time to play with mama.

Acting like a douche is not the same as being confident…

From what I understand from the woman in said scenario is that she is a gold digging whore, not necessarily but there is a reason I take my 2004 Jeep on the first few dates…

Also this….

swagger

Verb:
Walk or behave in a very confident and typically arrogant or aggressive way: "he swaggered along the corridor".

Noun:
A very confident and typically arrogant or aggressive gait or manner.

Adjective:
Denoting a coat or jacket cut with a loose flare from the shoulders.
