Do you understand now?
I also think it important to remember that the people who frequent C5 possibly know more than dealers who do not come to C5 and share in the abundance of honest information shared with us. Hundreds, if not thousands, of dealers just got their first letter regarding the QA hold. They deserved official notice from GM so they had something credible to tell all of their customers that do not come to C5 and are not as lucky as we are to be so informed. I want my car as much as the next but it is hardly the end of the world and it will happen when GM is ready. Are we disappointed... Sure Do we have any right to be mad at GM...... Not really. Do we need to lash out at then...... NO Will we all be happy when they decide to ship....... For sure. We just need to focus on all of the more important things in our lives for a few weeks, time will move faster and we will appreciate our cars just as much, if not more.

If I appreciate my car anymore I'll leave my wife! And I don't even have a wife! Lol

Does this mean more worries about the tires being out in the cold.

Yeah, how accurate is the 40 degree storage temperature? I am building a new house in a month and was going to heat the camaro specific garage. I'm thinking it's not worth the extra money now.

Sorry you guys are having to wait...I can feel your pain...I'm waiting for my first Gen5 Camaro...and the date when I can finally place an order can't come fast enough....BUT, what FBodFather stated is what SHOULD be done. Don't let these fantastic machines out of the door until they are ready. Else, the next few threads will be on how horrible GM is for hyping the product as being awesome, and then releasing a less-than-awesome product.

On another but similar note...I do believe that the internet is a double edged sword. On one hand, getting instant information is certainly gratifying....but on the other hand, it can cause many problems. I still believe that the Stock Market fluctuations are made MUCH worse because of the internet. If people weren't told that they were supposed to be scared, they wouldn't be so quick to dump investments. Years ago before the internet, we got stock quotes from a responsible writer in the daily paper.....not instantly from a reporter who wants to break a story without considering the consequences.

well from a business prospective that would be a horrible decision because you have all that money built up in a finished product and no payment.

I don't believer GM really wants them there every day they sits there costs them money. holding a ton of inventory at a plant finished is what they call "obese" manufacturing and it isn't so good on the bottom line but make for cool pictures to post on the internet.

ZL1 Delay

I just heard tonight from a GM person that they received an email saying that they're holding the ZL1's for marketing purposes - to get people even more excited. There's a lot of interest in them and they want to pump it up even further. (Obviously the ones that already have them built - like me, wouldn't be too happy). It might be BS or it might be true, but if you think about it, they tested them extensively before they started building them so why hold them for so long? Did anyone else hear this story?
