What is this? Pink fluid...

Hi all. When I changed my oil after pulling my ZL1 out from hibernation, I noticed some drips on the plastic aero cover with corresponding residue on the oil pan and above. It didn't look fresh, it was tacky and kind of dried up, but was obviously was viscous at some point. So, I chalked it up as maybe something that had spilled over curing the SC replacement last Fall and cleaned everything up with the intention to take a look later. Well, it's later (~400 miles) and the result is much the same - it appears that there is a leak somewhere. Keep in mind, this car has 6,000 miles on it. My guess is trans fluid, but I've never seen it gum up, so am not really sure. It does seem to originate from one of the hoses above the oil pan, but I can't be certain

Regardless, I'll be getting in touch with Rodgers to hopefully get it figured out and taken care of, but was curious if anybody else has had a similar leak and if so what was it? Or just any ideas? See pics below:

I had a similar leak when new, the infamous cross thread on the left side of the block where coolant runs to the rear end.

Was this issue fixed prior to the 2014 model?

This issue goes back to 2010, you would think they could fix the robot or fire the guy connecting the line, must be a Canadian thing, hopefully they didn't bring it to Lansing. I was lucky on mine even though the mechanic ordered the cross thread tap kit, we didn't need it as it was just loose. I wasn't gonna stand for my block being tapped with 1000 miles..

Thanks for the replies everyone. I had a 2011 SS for 4 years before I picked up the Zl1 last year and never had this. I guess it just depends on the day yours was produced. Hoping they won't have to tap as well.... It's such a small amount.

UPDATE from OP

UPDATE: took it over to Rodgers to have Gerry and his team take a look at it... everyone's suspicions were correct - cross-threaded coolant line on driver's-side of the block. They were able to take care of it under warranty without re-tapping and confirmed no more leak. So, kudos to Rodgers for taking care of me so quickly and without issue

Crappy that something like this makes it out of the factory - agree with prior sentiments, fire the guy doing it or fix the robot, GM!
