Question Dealer Emblem

If I don't want the dealer emblem put onto my Camaro can I ask the dealer to not add it? If not, can it be removed without damaged the paint?

tell them not to install it. I did. I also told them not to install the front license plate bracket even though my State requires it.

Yes I have asked on most cars I have bought, and if it is already on it I ask them to remove it. Most are now put on with sticky tape or are just decals, easy to remove.

When should I ask them not to add that? Obviously if I ask right now they won't remember in March, so should I just tell them when they call to say the car has arrived or will they already have added it?

Remind them consistently. Ask now so it is on the order papers, then when it comes in from the factory remind them again to not install it on during PDI (pre-delivery inspection). This applies to dealer emblems and license plate frames. If they want to add the emblem, ask if they'll pay sponsorship fees since you're giving them advertising.

If they have already added it, it'll be easy enough to take it off.

Seriously, stuff like this can be a deal breaker for me. License plate brackets, fine, trailer hitch covers, fine, but if you stick anything to the paint, it either comes off or I go someplace else.

lolz.

Epic fail.

He's talking about dealer badging. Like how dealers slap a sticker on your car that says (Insert dealer name here) Pontiac-Buick-GMC or whatever.

Remind your salesman and sales manager that you do not want any dealer emblem on your car EVERY TIME you talk to them about anything. Most importantly, when they call to tell you that the car is on the truck, be nice but be very firm that they are not to begin dealer prep until you arrive. They want you to be happy and will work with you within reason.
Some folks have been known to refuse dealer prep and drive the car home with most of the "white" covering still in place. Extreme? Perhaps.

OR, ASK for the sticker, but demand another $100 off for advertising....Just a thought.

Do you see a market for CAMARO SCOTTY Plate Frames???? I may have to get some prices....
