Man you were exactly the kind of guy I liked running into when I had my modded srt-4 neon. This is usually the kind of attitude I got from corvette guys....before the race. There was never a faster car than a LT-4 corvette...yeah right.

Mods are for cheaters. Stock is where it's at. I too can run down to the store, install a twin turbo and swap out internals and run 1200hp. |

wow, there is a whole aftermarket that would disagree with you. Not to mention entire forum catagories right here on our very own forum dedicated to modding our cars. You must be real bored on here reading the "read your owners manual" threads and skipping all the performance stuff. |

But if you're going to compare cars, compare them stock for stock. We all know there are 4bangers out there that can smoke lambos and ferraris, but you can't say 4bangers are faster. |

the original post was about a 300whp acura and a stock ss. 80whp roughly and 1000lbs are the issue.

Having 300 horsepower at the wheels means it is clearly modded.
There was one of those farts out at the track with a BOOSTED license plate running solid 20s. Sure scared me. |

Seriously though, most people mod out their cars to beat other modded cars... |

And so everyone is clear, License Plates don't add Horsepower... No matter how custom they are.

of course it was clearly modded, my point was that was the question in the original post. The comment about the giant twin turbo kits and internals is mostly bs. Most people don't understand how easy it is to extract power from a turbo car. My srt was on the stock turbo and all stock internals. Light cars with good power are fast, just like mega hp cars that are heavy. FI cars usually are rotten with torque too, that really gets that light weight rolling. I'm not agitated with anybody for the record, there is a general close-mindedness that most people don't get by until they see it in person. My brother had all v-8 muscle growing up, and 1 run in my old 4-banger woke him up. |

What good point is he making? He seems to think it's crazy that a car making more power per unit of weight would beat a car with less power per unit of weight. Tinfoil hats? Those usually go to the people that believe in the less likely, less logical possibility. So where is the logic behind a stock camaro ss being faster than a 300fwhp rsx? I like to believe that physics is more reliable than some guy on the internet's illogical conclusions. Who cares about your opinion of 4 cylinder cars or whatever you're both complaining about? The OP asked which one is faster. The notion that the rsx should be faster makes sense. Prove to us it doesn't and that the camaro being faster does. If you can't, I don't know what the hell you are arguing about and neither does anybody else. There are faster cars out there than yours and you won't like some of them. Get over it.

I'm sorry but when did mods come into play? The OP just asked which one would be faster and state some proof/reason. Either that or you are just talking of your ***.
