i used a heat gun after i used the oven
the heat gun works well to reshape it its a must oh and bend the clips bak quiet a bit each light has four then flood it with silicone it should work perfect! mine dont leak and i did mine except you were probably more frustrated when u took the light out of the oven and the seal didnt budge after like threee times lol i was sweating like crazy i couldnt get it to open
you should try a heat gun on the other and see which is easier to soften up the seal just a suggestion if it fails then the oven is the only way mine came out good

Invader, yours look WAY better than mine did once I got done with them. Mine were completely mauled looking. However, do just what you plan to and silicon the crap out of them. That's what I did and no issues so far. This was about two weeks ago.

LOL, just realized, I posted that long reply on the other forum to you as well.

That is one install I would never do, if you have to tear them up that much to do it. I think it would be worth it to me to find another alternative.

Just finished my dual color Halos this weekend. Don't sweat it. Clean the old silicone out of the housing channel(reheat, it should come out easily and you can reform where needed) and then clean the silicone off of the lens (again ,a little heat can help). When your ready to re-assemble apply a generous bead of silicone to the housing channel, install the lens and clamp it. Check that you see silicone between the lens and housing all the way around. Let it stand for a few hours. Install and enjoy!!!

Normal. Just get that old sealant out of there and test fit the clear plastic to make sure it's flush with the back before you put new silicone on. Once it's sealed back up, tape the clear plastic to the back and let it sit and cure!!!!

Things always look uglier when your unsure of something. I did the afterburner taillights and I didn't think they would ever look right again! Scary stuff, but all worked out.

Oh, and test your lights before you seal them up.

Definately agree on that one. I tested every step of the way, before I separated the headlights to make sure I wasn't wasting my time if the rings were bad, before I actually put them in the housings, after putting them in, and before sealing, then one more time after sealing before the sealing hardened.
